What You Will See During the Trip

Discover Slovakia from a completely new perspective. This one-day trip from Zakopane combines two unique places: the Treetop Walk in Bachledka, where you can admire panoramic views of the Tatras, Pieniny, and Spišská Magura, and Štrbské Pleso, the jewel of the High Tatras with an alpine atmosphere. In just one day, you will see the most beautiful landscapes, hear fascinating facts about the local nature, and relax in the unique mountain surroundings.

Treetop Walk – Bachledka

The Treetop Walk in Bachledova Valley is located in the heart of picturesque Spišská Magura, on the border of the Tatra National Park. This wooden walkway, over 1200 m long, rises up to 24 m above the ground and ends with a 32 m observation tower offering panoramic views of the Belianske Tatras, Pieniny, and Beskid Sądecki. Along the way, you’ll pass educational platforms with information about the local flora and fauna. The entrance to the route can be reached on foot or conveniently by gondola lift (about 7 minutes).

Štrbské Pleso – Jewel of the High Tatras

Located at 1,346 m above sea level, Štrbské Pleso is the second largest lake on the Slovak side of the Tatras. Its crystal-clear surface reflects the mountain peaks, and the surrounding promenade (about 2.5 km) provides perfect conditions for a walk. In summer, you can rent a boat or kayak; in autumn, the lake is surrounded by golden foliage; and in winter, it often freezes, creating picturesque icy landscapes. The area offers charming cafés, viewpoints, and souvenir shops.
