What Do We Offer?

The calm version of the iconic Dunajec rafting trip – nature, comfort and Pieniny panorama. The Slovak version of Dunajec rafting is an excellent choice for people who want to experience one of the most beautiful attractions of the Pieniny region in a shorter, lighter and very comfortable form. The route runs from Majere to Leśnica, entirely on the Slovak side, offering the same spectacular views that made Dunajec famous – but at a calmer pace and shorter duration. Thanks to the comprehensive organization by TrioTravel, the Slovak rafting becomes an ideal one-day trip from Zakopane – especially recommended for families with children, seniors, and people who value convenience and a well-balanced programme.

Pieniny Landscape from a Different Perspective

Majere – Leśnica (Slovakia)

  • The Slovak Dunajec rafting route runs through the heart of the Pieniny National Park, along the Polish-Slovak border. The river flows calmly here, with wide bends, and the landscape impresses with its natural beauty and spaciousness. During the trip, participants admire: • vertical limestone cliffs of the Pieniny, • green slopes and forested sections of the Dunajec valley, • views of the Trzy Korony massif and Sokolica from a different, less frequented perspective, • wild nature of the protected areas on both sides of the river. This is a route perfect for those who want to focus on relaxation, views and silence, without spending a long time on the raft. Such a cruise is an adventure that will stay in your memory for a long time!
  • Traditional rafting with certified raftsmen Just like on the Polish route, the Slovak rafting takes place on wooden rafts guided by experienced raftsmen (flisaks). Each raft is designed for a maximum of 12 people, ensuring comfort and safety. The rafting takes about 1.5–2 hours, depending on river conditions. The raftsmen tell stories about the history of the region, nature and local customs, creating a calm and authentic travel atmosphere. The route is very gentle, with no difficult sections, making it an ideal alternative for people who don’t want to spend several hours on the water, but still want to see the most beautiful parts of the Dunajec.
  • At TrioTravel we focus on full organization and participant comfort. The Slovak rafting is carried out as a complete one-day trip from Zakopane, with no need for independent travel or ticket arrangements.
  • The tour programme includes: • pickup from your accommodation in Zakopane or Kościelisko, • comfortable air-conditioned minibus or coach transport, • Dunajec rafting on the Majere – Leśnica route, • free time in Leśnica, • stop at Czorsztyn Lake and the Niedzica Dam (approx. 2 hours), • optional visit to Niedzica Castle (additional ticket), • short presentation and visit to the UNESCO wooden church in Dębno, • tour guide supervision and smooth coordination of the entire trip. The whole tour lasts about 7–8 hours, which allows for the perfect balance between sightseeing and relaxation.
  • Slovak vs Polish rafting – what’s the difference? Slovak route: • shorter (1.5–2 hours on the water), • gentler pace, • ideal for people who value comfort and relaxation, • finishes earlier, leaving more time for additional attractions. Polish route: • longer (approx. 2.5 hours), • more classic and extensive, • recommended for those who want to fully experience the traditional rafting. Both routes offer spectacular views and the highest level of organization by TrioTravel.
  • Who do we recommend the Slovak rafting for? The Slovak-side Dunajec rafting is an excellent choice for: • families with children, • seniors, • people who prefer shorter and calmer trips, • tourists who want to combine rafting with other attractions in one day, • people who have already done the Polish route and want to see the Dunajec from a different perspective. It is also a very good option for a first-time Dunajec rafting experience.

The rafting season runs from April 1 to October 31—Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. So, we invite you on the trip every day!

Fun Facts About Dunajec Rafting

The origin of the Dunajec Gorge remains partially unknown to this day. Legends say that this is where the famous knight Ferkowicz chased the king of snakes.

The winding path he took was said to have formed the Dunajec Gorge. Other highlanders say that King Bolesław Chrobry himself carved the river's outlet.
